Broncos Re-Sign Linebacker Alex Singleton to Two-Year, $15.5 Million Deal
The Denver Broncos are re-signing linebacker Alex Singleton to a two-year, $15.5 million contract, according to Luca Evans of The Denver Post. The deal includes $11 million guaranteed.
Singleton led the Broncos in total tackles last season with 135. The veteran linebacker has tallied at least 120 tackles in five of his last six NFL seasons. Singleton has also been Denver’s tackling leader in three of his first four seasons in the Mile High City.
Despite undergoing surgery for testicular cancer midway through the season, Singleton missed just one game in 2025. He went on to receive the Broncos’ 2025 Ed Block Courage Award.
Prior to joining forces with Denver in 2022, Singleton played three seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles. Before his three-year stint with the Eagles, Singleton played for the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders from 2016 to 2018 – winning a Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award and a Grey Cup during that span. During his seven NFL seasons, Singleton has tallied 768 total tackles.
Singleton follows Justin Strnad as Broncos linebackers agreeing to return to the team. Strnad agreed to a three-year, $18 million deal that includes $10 million guaranteed prior to the NFL’s legal tampering period. Strnad registered 58 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, an interception, and three pass deflections in 2025.
Now that Singleton and Strnad are back in the fold, linebacker Dre Greenlaw is likely on borrowed time in Denver. The Broncos would save just over $8 million in cap space in 2026 by cutting Greenlaw, who missed nine games last season, with a post-June 1 designation. Greenlaw tallied 43 total tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, an interception, and two pass deflections in 2025.
